A man wanted for allegedly robbing a Shrewsbury laundromat was arrested in Cambria County, according to authorities.

Southern Regional Police said Monday, Sept. 30, that Steven Wayne Baker Jr., 34, was arrested in Cambria County, which is about 200 miles northwest from Shrewsbury.

Baker was wanted for stealing several detergent containers from Shrewsbury Laundry at 13 Old Farm Lane about 1 p.m. Sept. 11, according to police.

Baker whose last address was in York City, was arraigned on Tuesday, Oct. 1, one charges of robbery and flight to avoid apprehension, both of which are felonies, and misdemeanor offenses of theft and receiving stolen property.

Police filed charges on Sept. 19. Baker's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 17 at District Judge Lindy Lane Sweeney's office.

He remains in York County Prison on $10,000 bail.
