Police investigating Hanover home invasion robbery

Authorities are investigating a home invasion robbery that happened Monday in Hanover.

Hanover Police said three men broke into a home in the 300 block of Broadway about 10:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23.

The resident heard a knock on her door and had gone to answer it when she became suspicious, according to a news release from the department.

She tried to stall the person at the door, but that person forced it open, and three men, all dressed in black, confronted the woman, police said.

One of the men displayed a handgun, the release states.

They took off with the victim's cellphone and money. They were last seen running south in an unnamed alley parallel to Broadway, toward Fulton Street, according to police.

The resident suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 717-637-5575 or through 911.
