Crash closes Norman Wood Bridge

A crash in Lancaster County is closing the Norman Wood Bridge, according to 511pa.com.

The website states that a multi-vehicle crash on Route 372 is closing the bridge from River Road in Lower Chanceford Township, York County, to River Road in Martic Township, Lancaster County.

The bridge goes over the Susquehanna River and connects York and Lancaster counties. 

According to the Lancaster County 911 live incident list, the crash was reported with entrapment at 10:48 a.m. 

"The Norman Wood Bridge carries PA 372 across the Susquehanna River from York to Lancaster County. Opened in August 1968, the bridge is 0.7 mile long and 175 feet tall."
