Man accused of Lower Chanceford Twp. rape
A man accused of raping a teenage girl nearly two years ago in Lower Chanceford Township is now in York County Prison, according to police.
On Aug. 31, state police filed charges alleging Donald Eugene Windon Jr. raped the teen at a home in November 2016.
Police say Windon said he was on drugs during the incident and didn't remember it.
Windon, 36, whose address is listed as unknown, faces charges of rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault and indecent assault.
Allegations: Police say Windon raped the girl the morning of Nov. 11, 2016, in a home in Lower Chanceford Township.
After the rape, Windon told the girl not to tell anyone or he would go to jail and not see his kids, according to charging documents.
Later he told the girl he was on molly and he "wasn't in his right mind," officials said. Windon said if he were in his right mind, he would not have done it, according to authorities.
When speaking to police, Windon denied anything happened with the victim, court documents state. Police said he repeated questions and would remain silent when he was asked questions.
"When asked specific incriminating questions, Windon Jr. would provide an answer that was not an answer to the question being asked," police wrote in charging documents.
Police said the victim was not random.
History: Windon has a criminal history of aggravated assault, flight to avoid apprehension and DUI charges, according to online court records.
In 2005, Windon attacked his estranged wife and a man when he saw the two involved in a sexual act in a car at a Peach Bottom Township home, according to York Dispatch archives.
He was sentenced to serve at least six months in York County Prison after he pleaded guilty to simple assault, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. His aggravated assault charges were dropped.
Windon was arraigned on the new charges Friday, Sept. 7, and bail was set at $250,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10, in front of District Judge Laura Manifold.
