Feds: York County fugitive brothers captured in NYC
Two fugitive York County brothers have been captured in New York City, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Both Marquis Tyrell Clark and Elijah Ezekial Clark-Bream await extradition back to York County to face their separate felony charges, officials said.
Members of the marshals service's Fugitive Task Force tracked down Clark, 20, of York City, and Clark-Bream, 24, of Hanover, after the brothers fled to the Bronx, a marshals service news release states.
On July 13, York County Common Pleas Judge Maria Musti Cook issued a bench warrant for Clark, according to court records. That was because he failed to appear in court on his charges, according to the marshals service.
Clark's charges include drug dealing, being a convicted felon in illegal possession of a firearm and receiving stolen property.
His brother, Clark-Bream, is wanted in Adams County on charges including aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and being a convicted felon in illegal possession of a firearm, according to the marshals service.
Clark-Bream also was a fugitive in his three pending York County Court cases after Common Pleas Judge Harry M. Ness revoked bail in all three cases on Friday, Aug. 24, according to court records.
He had been free on bail in all three of those cases.
He is facing multiple counts of simple assault as well as charges of burglary and making terroristic threats, court records state.
Allegedly fled together: When neither man could be found in York County, the marshals' Fugitive Task Force investigated and learned the brothers had fled to the Bronx together, the marshals service news release states.
The task force captured Clark-Bream about 10:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, near the corner of East 169th and Lyman streets, according to the marshals service.
About 15 minutes later, they arrested Clark on Lyman Street, the release states.
Members of the marshals service's task force here in the Middle District of Pennsylvania include deputy marshals and officers and agents from York City Police, Spring Garden Township Police, the York County Sheriff's Office, York County District Attorney's Office, state police and state probation/parole agents.
