Do you know this Springetts bank robber?
Police have released two photographs of a man who robbed a Springettsbury Township bank at gunpoint earlier this month and are asking for the public's help to identify him.
The robber walked with a noticeable limp, according to police.
The holdup happened about 8:35 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at New Cumberland Federal Credit Union, 200 Memory Lane, township police said.
A man brandishing a handgun and wearing a red bandanna, white hat and dark clothing walked into the bank and demanded cash from a teller, according to Lt. Todd King.
After getting an undetermined amount of money, the robber fled and was last seen running westbound from the bank, King said.
No one was hurt, according to the lieutenant.
Township officers — assisted by state police, York County sheriff's deputies and West York Police — searched the area for more than an hour but couldn't find the robber, King said.
If you recognize the man in the photos, or if you have any information about the robbery, you're asked to call Springettsbury Township Police at 717-757-3525.
