Springettsbury Township Police are searching for three young men who robbed a man at gunpoint in a shopping center parking lot.

It happened at 11:36 a.m. Thursday, July 12, in the parking lot of Walmart, 2801 E. Market St., according to police.

A Walmart customer was in the lot when he was approached by a trio of young men, one of whom was brandishing a handgun, police said.

He wasn't injured during the robbery, but his wallet and watch were taken, police said.

Officers searched the area for about 90 minutes but couldn't locate the robbers, Springettsbury Township Police Lt. Tony Beam said.

All three were last seen running from the parking lot, he said.

Beam said it's unusual for someone to be robbed in the shopping center parking lot.

He confirmed that at this point, investigators believe the victim was chosen at random.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the identities of the robbers can call township police at 717-757-3525, or all 911.
