A Springfield Township man is accused of molesting a girl while she slept in a home earlier this month, according to officials.

Police say the victim awoke to Charles Eugene Brown touching her in the early morning hours of  June 10.

Brown, 47, is charged with two counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault and one count of corruption of minors.

Allegations: According to state police, the girl awoke  about 1 a.m. that day to Brown touching her genitals.

Charging documents indicate that the victim, 11, is a family member of an acquaintance. 

State police were not notified of the alleged incident until Tuesday, June 12, according to officials.

Charges were filed Thursday, June 14, and Brown was arraigned on the charges the night of Friday, June 15.

He remains free on $100,000 bail, according to the York County Sheriff's Office. He does not have an attorney listed, and a number could not be found for him.

Brown's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, June 29, at District Judge Lindy Lane Sweeney's office.
