Can you help police identify this Delta-area bank robber?
Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward to the tipster who helps police identify a bank robber who made off with more than $600.
The M&T Bank branch at 6960 Delta Road in Peach Bottom Township was robbed at 9:24 a.m. April 18 by a man who proffered a note demanding $5,000, according to Crime Stoppers.
The teller gave him $651, after which the robber left the bank and headed north on foot.
State troopers canvassed the area but were unable to find the man, police have said.
Crime Stoppers said police have learned the robber walked into a PNC Bank branch earlier the same day — one that's located in Maryland, just south of the Mason-Dixon Line.
But the man left the bank, apparently because PNC had a security guard on duty, according to Crime Stoppers.
The robber was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with a teal Superman logo, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark sneakers, according to Crime Stoppers.
He's between 35 and 45 years old, stands about 5-feet-7, weighs about 150 pounds and has brown hair, police said. At the time, he was sporting scruffy facial hair and transition sunglasses, according to Crime Stoppers.
Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the bank robber is asked to call Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers toll-free at 800-4PA-TIPS.
All callers can remain anonymous, and callers don't have to give their names to collect cash rewards.
