Police: 'Person of interest' sought in York City homicide

York City Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a York man wanted for questioning in the shooting homicide of Phillip Trent Banks Jr.

Trayquan D. Robinson, 18, is described as a person of interest in the Monday, May 21, slaying of Banks, 20, of York City, according to a police news release.

Officers called to the first block of North Franklin Street about 4 p.m. Monday found Banks dead at the scene, police said.

He suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

York City Police Lt. Gene Fells has said Banks was targeted.

He had been released from prison about three weeks before being killed, according to the state Department of Corrections.

Tipsters can remain anonymous, police said.
