Two York City men arrested after 2-week drug investigation

Two York City men were arrested following a two-week investigation by the York County Drug Task Force, according to officials.

The York County District Attorney's Office said in a news release that Angel M. Cruz and Michael Hartman were arrested in Spring Garden Township on April 26.

The DA"s office, which oversees the task force, said that Cruz would arrange to meet buyers in Spring Garden Township, York Township and the Windsor area, and that Hartman would often drive him there.

Cruz, 50, of the 600 block of Courtland Street, and Hartman, 56, of the 700 block of West Poplar Street, are charged with drug possession with intent to deliver.

Investigation: Authorities arranged to purchase cocaine from Cruz on April 26 at the Queensgate Shopping Center, officials said. 

Police met the two and purchased cocaine, then followed the men a short distance before arresting them, the release states.

Cruz had 115 grams of cocaine and $3,000 in cash, according to the DA's office.

Hartman remains free after posting $10,000 bail, and Cruz remains in York County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.

The two have a preliminary hearing scheduled for Friday, May 11, at District Judge Jennifer J.P. Clancy's office.
