Police: Stabbed York City man will recover

A York City man escaped life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed by someone he knows, police said.

Nathaniel Corl, 38, suffered wounds to his back and right hand about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, according to York City Police.

It happened in the 400 block of West Philadelphia Street, police said.

Police said Corl was assaulted during a dispute with someone known to him.

"This was not a random act of violence, and we believe the victim was targeted," police wrote in a news release.
