A Dover man is in critical condition after he was shot three times in York City on Friday night, according to York City Police.

Officers dispatched to the 500 block of East South Street for a reported shooting found 33-year-old Anthony Brackbill at 10:12 p.m. Friday, April 13, according to a news release from the city police department.

He was shot twice in the abdomen and once in the arm, the release states. He was transported to York Hospital and was in critical condition Friday night.

"This incident was not a random act, and the suspect and victim purposely met each other and were engaged in illegal activity," police said in the release.
