Kauffman, 40, of the first block of Wintergreen Lane, was arraigned Monday, March 19, on six counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with children, one count of aggravated indecent assault of a child and two counts each of indecent assault of a person less than 13 and corruption of minors.

Charging documents filed by Northern York County Regional Police state the assaults started in August 2009 and happened at locations in Conewago, Dover, Manchester and Lower Windsor townships.

Police began investigating Feb. 28 after being alerted to allegations made by the boy, according to charging documents.

The boy told authorities Kauffman forced him to perform sexual acts, documents allege.

Kauffman told the boy not to tell anyone, according to police.

Charging documents indicate Kauffman was acquainted with one of the boy's parents.

The investigation by Northern Regional Police also led them to a York County teenager who told them Kauffman also forced her into sexual acts, charging documents allege.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 24, according to court records.

It is unclear whether Kauffman has retained an attorney.
