Man shot in York City over price of meat, officials say

A Baltimore salesman is expected to survive after being shot in York City on Friday after a "physical altercation" over the price of the meat he was selling, according to Philip Given, chief of staff for York City Mayor Michael Helfrich.

Ronald Louis Green Jr., 43, was taken to York Hospital by ambulance and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Given said.

Green was shot about 2:20 p.m. Friday, March 16, in the 200 block of West Cottage Place, and York City Police continue to investigate, according to a news release from Given.

Officers recovered a weapon at the scene, he said.
