Police: Red Lion girl kidnapped, blindfolded, questioned
A 14-year-old Red Lion girl was kidnapped, blindfolded, led away from her home and questioned by an unknown person, according to state police, who are investigating.
The girl was released physically unharmed, police said.
It happened about 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, in an alley behind the 100 block of South Franklin Street, according to troopers.
The 14-year-old walked out of her home and into the alley to take out trash.
While she was in the alley, a unknown male grabbed her arm, blindfolded her and led her to what's believed to be a garage or a "similar structure," according to a state police news release.
He then questioned the girl about "her boyfriend's money," police said.
At some point, the kidnapper was on the phone with the girl's boyfriend, who said he was going to call police, the news release states.
The kidnapper then released the girl unharmed, police said.
He has not yet been identified, according to state police, who described him as a male in his late teens or early 20s, about 5-feet-6, wearing a black top and khaki pants.
His name could be "Lucas," police said.
Anyone with information about his identity, or about the kidnapping, is asked to call state police at their York barracks, 717-428-1011.
