York City Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents from the weekend in which one person was injured.

Jorden DeLeon, 19, was shot once in the hip while inside his home in the 600 block of East Market Street, according to Capt. Troy Bankert, who supervises the city's detective bureau.

He escaped life-threatening injury in the accidental shooting, which happened just after 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, the captain said.

Bankert said detectives must speak with DeLeon again to determine exactly how the shooting happened, but he said he's confident it was accidental and that there's a known suspect.

"There may be charges, but first we have to see what exactly occurred," he said.

However, Bankert said police are concerned that the shooter has so far not come forward on his own.

DeLeon was taken to York Hospital for treatment, police said.

'Disgruntled customer': Gunfire rang out about 2:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in front of Pandora's Box, a bar at 466 E. Market St., Bankert said.

A "disgruntled customer" left the bar, returned with a gun and fired at the bar from outside, according to the captain.

No one was hurt, Bankert said.

On Monday morning, Bankert said he had not yet been briefed on the details of what caused the customer to become disgruntled.

He said he expects the man will be identified and arrested, in part because Pandora's Box has surveillance footage that detectives will be reviewing, the captain said.

Also, the disgruntled customer is known to employees there, Bankert said.

Anyone with information on either incident can call York City detectives at 717-849-2219, or text "Yorktips" and your information to 847-411. The texting service is anonymous.
