DA's office: 2 York City men arrested for drug-dealing
Members of the York County Drug Task Force recently arrested two alleged heroin dealers in separate investigations.
Juan Ramon Rivera Jr., 49, of the 400 block of Chestnut Street in York City, remains in York County Prison on $100,000 bail, according to a news release from the York County District Attorney's Office.
The DA's office oversees the county's drug task force.
Armed with a search warrant, task-force detectives raided 403 Chestnut St. on Thursday, Nov. 16, and seized more than 1,500 bags of heroin that were packaged for sale plus $4,500 in cash, according to the news release.
The task force alleges Rivera drove to New Jersey weekly to buy heroin and would then return to York County, "where he conducted his distribution operation," the release states.
Rivera is charged with the felony of possession with intent to deliver heroin, according to court records.
Cocaine and heroin: A three-week investigation by the York County Drug Task Force led to the arrest of David J. Wilson, 36, of the 200 block of West Jackson Street in York City, the news release states.
He was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 21, and remains in York County Prison on $100,000 bail, charged with three counts of drug possession with intent to deliver, according to court records.
The investigation revealed Wilson was conducting a "drug-vending operation" at two homes — his own, at 222 W. Jackson St., and at 714 W. Poplar St, the news release states.
Seized from the Jackson Street home was about 50 grams — or 1¾ ounces — of heroin and cocaine, officials said, adding that task-force members seized 2 pounds of marijuana and cocaine at the West Poplar Street home.
Chief deputy prosecutor Dave Sunday called it "a substantial amount of cocaine."
Wilson was arrested at his home after he returned there from a trip to Lancaster where he allegedly procured cocaine, according to the news release.
