A man shot repeatedly in Springettsbury Township escaped with his life, according to police, who are asking witnesses to come forward.

Springettsbury Township Police were called to the 800 block of Bonneview Road about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, after neighbors in the area heard gunfire and called 911, according to Sgt. Brian Wilbur.

Responding officers found a 31-year-old man outside in the area, the sergeant said.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, had been shot multiple times, according to Wilbur.

Despite that, he is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning, Sept. 7, Wilbur said.

Investigators still must interview the victim about the shooting, he confirmed.

Detectives are still trying to determine how, why and exactly where in the block the shooting happened, according to Wilbur.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 717-757-3525, or call 911.
