A York City man was shot in the head in the early morning hours of Sunday, Aug. 20, on West King Street.

Police said officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West King Street at around 1:45 a.m. for a reported shooting.

There, officers found that Angel Jomar Santiago-Torres, 23, had been transported to York Hospital in a private vehicle, according to a press release from the department. He had been shot once in the head and was listed in serious condition, police said.

Pedro Juan Correa—Dejesus, 32, of York City, was arrested for aggravated assault, according to the release.
