Police are asking people who live in the area of Friesian Road in Manchester Township to check their homes, garages and sheds to see if any property has been stolen.

One person is suspected of committing several burglaries in the 2200 block over the last week, according to Northern York County Regional Police.

"He's made entry into garages, he's made entry into vehicles and has potentially removed items that people won't realize are missing until they go to use them," Lt. David Lash said.

Investigators are hoping residents in the area have video surveillance that might show one or more of the burglaries, the lieutenant said.

"We've identified a suspect and are actively attempting to locate him," Lash said.

The break-ins: On June 21, someone broke into a home there and stole a woman's purse after the residents accidentally left a door unlocked, police said.

Sometime between Saturday and Monday, a burglar stole cash from a home during normal business hours, according to police.

And on Monday, a third resident of the block told police her home was burglarized and cash, a cellphone and checks were taken, police said.

Anyone with security video or information about the burglaries on Friesian Road — and anyone who learns their home has been burglarized — is urged to call Northern Regional Police at 717-292-3647, or email a tip to tips@nycrpd.org.

People also can call the department's new tip line, 717-467-TELL (8355). Callers can remain anonymous, Lash said.
