A York City man, accused of shooting a man he'd argued with nearly two weeks ago, has been denied bail.

Marcquan Kyree Way, 20, of 43 W. Jackson St., was arraigned Thursday afternoon by District Judge Ron Haskell Jr., who denied bail because he believes Way is a threat to the community, according to court records. Way is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and being a convicted felon in illegal possession of a firearm.

He has been wanted since the March 24 shooting of Donovan Colon-Shaw, according to York City Police.

Colon-Shaw, 25, of York, was shot in the calf and in the hip, police have said; his wounds weren't considered life-threatening.

Victim shot twice: According to charging documents, officers called to the intersection of East Boundary Avenue and McKenzie Street about 9:15 p.m. found Colon-Shaw lying on the sidewalk with two gunshot wounds from .32-caliber bullets.

Detectives later learned Way and Colon-Shaw were at a party on South Queen Street and got into an argument, documents state.

Colon-Shaw was asked to leave the party and did. He was walking to a friend's home when he saw Way and another man, and the argument started again, according to police.

The argument was about to turn physical when Way pulled out a gun and shot Colon-Shaw in the left calf, documents allege.

Colon-Shaw fell to the ground. While he was lying there, Way shot him in the hip, police allege.

Convicted felon: Way is legally forbidden from possessing, using or even handling firearms because he is a convicted felon, according to police.

Charging documents state he was adjudicated delinquent of felony aggravated assault as a juvenile. In Pennsylvania, adults are found guilty of crimes, but juveniles are "adjudicated delinquent" of crimes.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service's fugitive task force captured Way on Thursday in a home near East South Street in York City, according to the marshals service.

It is unclear whether Way has retained an attorney.
