Police ID victim after shooting, crash in York City

A 22-year-old York City man died Sunday evening after a shooting and vehicle crash in York City, according to the York City Police Department.

About 9 p.m. Sunday, York City Police Department were dispatched for calls of a vehicle crash at the intersection of West Princess and Hartley streets, according to a release.

Police found Ryan Michael Small on the ground bleeding from two gunshot wounds, the release states. He was transported to York Hospital where he died just after 10 p.m., according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Small's last known address was on the 300 block of South Sherman Street, according to the coroner.

Police say he was shot before the crash occurred. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash had minor injuries, the release added.

York Hospital was put on lock down after the incident.

Police: Accelerant used to burn body in W. Manchester

An autopsy has been scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, according to the coroner's report.
