The blaze was one of three in the city that night that kept 100 firefighters busy, displaced more than 30 residents and sent four people to the hospital.

The three fires were reported during a 45-minute period.

York City Police said the fire at 238 S. Duke St., reported about 9:45 p.m., was intentionally set. Investigators ask that anyone with information call the York City Police Department at 717-846-1234 or text tips anonymously to 947-411, starting the message with “yorktips.”

A second fire, at 156 E. Maple St., is considered suspicious, according to police, and “all evidence points to trespassers using drugs” in the abandoned property.

The third blaze, at 410 S. George St., was accidental and related to an electrical issue, police said.
