A York Haven couple and another woman are accused of injecting heroin in the front seat of a vehicle while the couple's three young children were seated in the back, according to Swatara Township Police.

Martin Kidd Jr., 27, and Alexandra Kay, 23, parents of the children, and Katelyn McQuait, 20, are charged with endangering the welfare of children and possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Police say on Thursday they were sent to a parking lot in the 2200 block of Paxton Street in Swatara Township, Dauphin County, for suspicious activity in an SUV. There, officers say, they found the three injecting heroin in the front seat while three children under 3 years old were in the back seat of the car.

The three had purchased heroin in Harrisburg with the children and had stopped in the parking lot to use the drug, police said.
