Backyard brawl in York Haven ends in stabbing
- Police: Lawrence Lohss threatened to kill a man as he charged at him and stabbed him in the forearm.
Drinking after midnight led to a fight in the backyard of a Front Street home in York Haven early Tuesday morning, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Newberry Township Police Department.
One man was stabbed and another man jailed, the documents said.
Lawrence Lohss IV, 34, of 62 Pinetree Road, is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats after police say he charged at a man and stabbed him in the forearm before being taken to the ground by the victim, charging documents said.
According to the documents, Lohss told the victim he was going to kill him as he ran toward him.
Newberry Township police responded and spoke to witnesses who backed up the victim's story.
Lohss was arrested and placed in York County Prison under a $50,000 secured bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Aug. 30.
