Two Pennsylvania Senate mail room workers have been arrested on drug charges after another employee found two bundles of suspected heroin in a bathroom, according to PennLive.

The chief of staff to Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati said the two workers — Corey Allen Miller, 29, of Lebanon, and James H. Ulrich, 55, of Middletown — and a third, unnamed employee were fired on March 16, the day of their arrests, the website reported.

Drew Compton added "questionable activity" in the mail facility had raised suspicions for the past several months.

"We didn't see anything at that point but there was reason to believe that perhaps something was not right," he told PennLive. "We installed cameras to increase surveillance of the plant."
