Central York High School and the middle school shuttered their doors this week after announcing a new positive test for COVID-19, the district said Friday.

The two schools will be closed until Nov. 29 after an individual tested positive at the high school.

Students will participate in remote learning during the closure.

"All individuals are quarantining according to Department of Health protocols," the district said. "Anyone who was exposed to these individuals was notified by administrators directly and will be notified directly by the Pennsylvania Department of Health."

Central York's K-6 schools will remain open for in-person instruction, according to the district's website.
