Police: 'Two crime scenes' involved in Springettsbury Twp. shooting

A man was taken to the hospital for gunshot wounds after a shooting that happened shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday in Springettsbury Township.

Springettsbury Township Police Sgt. Brian Wilbur said “there were two crime scenes.”

The incident took place at two locations in Springettsbury Township — Route 30 and North Hills Road, and North Hills Road at East Market Street.

He said investigators don’t yet know exactly where the shooting started, and the circumstances behind the shooting are unclear.

“At this point, we’re trying all the leads,” Wilbur said Tuesday afternoon. Police have no suspects, he said.

The sergeant said several shots were fired into a Honda Accord. He said that where the man was hit is unclear, and his condition unknown.

Springettsbury Township Police are investigating. The ramp from Interstate 83 northbound at the Market Street exit was blocked while police investigated the incident, according to 511PA.com. North Hills Road southbound also had one lane blocked.

All roads were reopened to traffic before 1:15 p.m.
