About a dozen supporters of Vice President Joe Biden's presidential bid took to the intersection of Mount Airy Road and West Forrest Avenue in Shrewsbury on Sunday to wave signs and flags at passing motorists for "Solidarity Sunday."

The Biden supporters were greeted with a mix of waves and horn beeps, as well as shouts of "four more years" and other slogans from supporters of President Donald Trump.

The event was organized by Brian Holtslander of Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters Local 1563 and members of Anne Arundel for Biden.

Solidarity Sundays is a nationwide network of community action groups resisting the current administration, according to the organization's website.
