National Night Out draws big crowd in Lower Windsor

John A. Pavoncello
York Dispatch

An estimated 300 people visited the Lower Windsor Township Police's National Night Out event at Rexroth Park on Tuesday, according to Chief Dave Arnold.

"We had a really good turnout," he said.

National Night Out is an annual event to raise awareness and promote crime and drug prevention activities, bolster police-community partnerships and strengthen neighborhood relationships.

The York County Sheriff’s Office provided K9 visits and youth fingerprinting, local fire departments and Canadochly Ambulance had vehicles on display, and South Central Search & Rescue had their gear and K9s on hand. Free hot dogs and drinks were provided by Lower Windsor Township Police.
