DUI checkpoints, patrols, set through Halloween
York County law enforcement will be having sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols through Halloween.
The Center for Traffic Safety said in a news release that the efforts began Friday, Oct. 18 and will continue through the end of the month.
York County departments are conducting the enforcement as part of a national crackdown on impaired drivers, the release states.
Halloween is considered a "drinking," holiday so the enforcement is done the weekend before, the week of, and the weekend after the holiday, according to the release.
