West York will soon identify a grocery store that's expected to move into the former Giant Food Stores building,  borough manager Shawn Mauck said Tuesday.

The building at 1200 W. Market St. is still home to the Rite-Aid drug store that was there when the Giant  was operating. Mauck announced over the summer that a Dollar Tree and an AutoZone also are slated to open in the building, meaning there will be four businesses  in the building.

The former Giant store closed in early 2017.

New business development will help expand the borough's tax base and reduce the need to raise taxes in the future, Mauck said at a September borough council meeting.

Another business, Doggy Style Grill, a hot dog restaurant at 1277 W. Market St., opened in August.
