Work to close Route 30 in Lancaster Co. this month
Emergency repair work will close a portion of Route 30 in Lancaster County later this month.
The state Department of Transportation said in a news release that work on the Hill Street bridge spanning Route 30 in Mountville will affect traffic beginning Monday, Sept. 23.
Lane restrictions on Route 30 will be in place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sept. 23 through Thursday, Sept. 26, according to the release.
A full closure on Route 30 in that area will start 8 p.m. Sept. 27 until 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, PennDOT said.
Drivers will be detoured using Prospect Road, Columbia Avenue and College Avenue.
Work on the Hill Street bridge will last until November, according to the release.
Crews are conducting emergency work on Hill Street after a vehicle struck a beam on the bridge in early June, PennDOT said.
