York County hunters are eligible to buy one of 45,000 unsold licenses for antlerless deer hunting, said York County Treasurer Barbara Bair.

Residents who hold a valid 2019-20 hunting license will be eligible to buy the unsold licenses in the first round sale, which begins Monday, Aug. 5.

The cost is $6.90 per license, and there's a limit of two per person.

When mailing applications, applicants should include a check or money order made payable to the York County Treasurer’s Office and mailed via the U.S. Postal Service to 28 E. Market St. in York.

Applicants can check the status of their application by visiting the Pennsylvania Game Commission's website at www.pgc.pa.gov.
