York 'Drug Take Back' canceled because of anticipated weather

The York City Police Department canceled a DEA Drug Take Back event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27, due to anticipated weather conditions, the city announced on Friday. 

Residents can drop unwanted prescriptions pills in the MedReturn box at the York City Police station, located at 50 W. King St.

Saturday will see rain throughout the day, with wind gusts up to 31 mph and a high of 51, according to the National Weather Service.

Residents can always drop unwanted prescription drugs into the Green MedReturn box located in the lobby of the police station, 50 W. King St., during normal business hours, the release said.
