Route 177, locally known as Wyndamere Road, will be closed to traffic just east of the intersection with Yorktown Road and Industrial Drive in Fairview Township for 30 days starting at 7 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26.
The road will be closed while workers install storm water and sanitary sewer pipes, according to the state Department of Transportation. A contractor will excavate 14 feet through rock under the roadway to remove deteriorating metal pipes and replace them with plastic pipes.
Signs notifying motorists will be placed on Interstate 83, Yorktown Road and Route 262, also known as Old York Road.
