Loucks Road reopens in West Manchester Township

Motorists who frequently drive Loucks Road in West Manchester Township have received a nice surprise: The road improvement project was completed ahead of schedule. 

According to West Manchester Township's website, the road closure at Route 30 and Loucks Road has been removed. Loucks Road had been closed since April 30 between Route 30 and Kenneth Road except for local residents.

The township initially estimated that the road would remain closed until Aug. 16. 

Drivers weren't able to access the road at the intersection of Loucks Road and Route 30 westbound, West Manchester Township Fire Department had reported on its Facebook page.

During the detour, Loucks Road heading eastbound at Kenneth Road was closed except for local residents, and Rodney Road was down to one lane before the intersection with Loucks Road, the department stated.
