The Little Red Schoolhouse auction will be held Saturday, June 9, at the schoolhouse property, 5705 Hanover Road, in Conewago Township, Adams County.

The location of the auction was wrong in a previous story about the sale.

Built in 1884, the building served as a one-room schoolhouse until 1947 and was later sold to become a deli and two restaurants.

After a fire March 1, current restaurant owner Joyce McMaster is selling the historic building through Thomasville Country Auctions of Jackson Township.

It will be sold "as is," with no inspection by owner, but some restaurant equipment — such as a grill and deep fryer — are included.

Auctioneer Sheryl Hooks said it's "not an absolute auction," meaning McMaster will have final approval on the sale.

The buyer must pay 10 percent of the selling price within 30 days.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for the 10 a.m. auction.
