The West Manheim Township building and police station were closed for several hours Tuesday, May, 29, after a resident brought in explosive devices.

According to a statement posted on the township police department's Facebook page around 2 p.m. Tuesday, the resident drove to the police station at 2412 Baltimore Pike intending to dispose of the explosives.

The buildings were to be closed to walk-in service as police dealt with the "active incident," and the State Police Hazardous Device and Explosives Division responded, police said.
