Masonry wall collapse reduces lane on Route 11/15
Drivers traveling northbound on Route 11/15 may want to find an alternate route.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said in a news release Monday, April 16, that the highway in the Perdix area of Perry County will be restricted to a single lane while crews install a concrete barrier.
PennDOT said a masonry wall along northbound Route 11/15 collapsed Monday morning, and maintenance crews will install a concrete barrier along the northbound shoulder where the wall fell away.
To install the barrier, crews will close the right northbound lane, and it will likely remain closed through the late afternoon commuter rush hour, PennDOT said.
Drivers can use Route 22/322 across the Susquehanna River as an alternate route to avoid the single-lane traffic, according to PennDOT.
