Winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts reaching 50 mph Wednesday, April 4, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service issued a wind advisory for York County which will be in effect from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday. 

The winds are expected to be the strongest from late morning through the afternoon. The strongest winds will be on west-facing ridges, according to the weather service.

Strong winds could blow down limbs, trees and power lines, according to the weather service. Scattered power outages are expected, the weather service said.

Adams, Cumberland, and Lancaster counties are included in the advisory as well.
