Rock icon Alice Cooper to end 2018 summer tour at York Fair
Rock icon Alice Cooper will end his recently announced 2018 summer tour with a show at the York Fair.
He will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7. Tickets go on sale 9 a.m. Saturday, March 17, according to a York Fair news release.
The legendary rocker just released his 27th album, "Paranormal," last July via earMusic, according to Cooper's website.
Cooper made his mark performing with the Alice Cooper band when break-through songs like "Love It to Death," "Killer" and "School's Out" hit the charts in the early 1970s, organizers say.
Cooper went solo in 1975, releasing "Welcome to My Nightmare," which was accompanied by "a legendary theatrical concert tour that was designed to shock," according to the York Fair release.
His career skyrocketed in the late 1970s with several hit singles, including "You & Me," "Lace and Whiskey" and "From The Inside," according to concert organizers.
In the '80s, Cooper released the album "Flush The Fashion," "Constrictor" and "Raise Your Fist and Yell." And 1989's album "Trash" featured his hit single "Poison" and became his biggest selling album and single worldwide, according to the York Fair.
Tickets prices are $39 for Track and Center Plaza, $34 for Center Grandstand, $29 for Side Plaza and Loge and $24 for Side Grandstand.
Tickets can be purchased online at yorkfair.com, by phone at 717-848-2033 and at the York Fair Ticket Office. The Ticket Office will be open 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 17. The York Fair Ticket Office is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.
