All Eastern York schools deemed safe following search

Update 2:30 p.m.: All Eastern York School District schools were deemed safe after emergency responders searched all of them, the district said in a statement. 

Previously reported:All Eastern York schools are dismissing early after the district received a tip indicating a bomb is in a school, according to a statement from the district. 

All schools were evacuated this morning Friday, March 9, because the tip did not indicate which school. 

In an abundance of caution and to allow time for emergency responders to ensure the building is safe, students will be dismissed early from the evacuation sites, according to the district. 

Here are the times and locations of each school's dismissal: 

• Eastern York High School and Eastern York Middle School students will be dismissed from the high school stadium field at 11:30 a.m. 

• Canadochly Elementary School students will be dismissed from the Canadochly Valley Ambulance Center at 12:30 p.m. 

• Wrightsville Elementary School students will be dismissed from the Assembly of God Church at 12:30 p.m. 

• Kreutz Creek Elementary School students will be dismissed from the Valley View Alliance Church at 12:30 p.m. 

Parents can pick their children up at those locations 15 minutes later.
