River ice is starting to back up the flow of water in the Long Level area.

York County is under a flood watch this weekend.

The National Weather Service said Friday, Feb. 23, that the flood watch will remain in effect until 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.

Rain is expected Friday through Sunday, and with recent rain and snow melt, there is an increased threat of flooding across the region, according to the weather service.

Additional rainfall of up to 3 inches is possible, the weather service said.

Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin and Lancaster counties are among the areas included alongside York County in the flood watch.
