A York County hotel employee acted quickly to save a 3-year-old who fell into a pool Friday evening.

Officers responded to an ambulance call about 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott, 2789 Concord Road in Springettsbury Township, according to township police.

Police wrote in a Facebook post Saturday that the 3-year-old girl was playing with her siblings when she fell in the pool. 

She was pulled out of the water but was unresponsive, the post states.

The adult who was with the children at the time called for help, and Marriott employee Arwin Burgos responded, police wrote. 

After Burgos performed CPR on the child, she regained consciousness and was alert by the time emergency personnel arrived, according to the post.

Police stated she is expected to make a full recovery.

Springettsbury Township Police extended their gratitude to Burgos for the efforts he took to save the girl's life.

"It is so easy to find negative stories out there," police stated in the post, "so please join us in thanking Mr. Burgos for taking swift action on behalf of a stranger!"
