York County-owned Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is being considered for sale by county commissioners. At the first of three meetings planned to gather public input in the decision, at the county 911 center in Springettsbury Township Feb. 13, county residents and residents and employees of Pleasant Acres made it clear that they do not want to sell.


York County officials have changed the location for two upcoming meetings to discuss a potential sale of Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The York County commissioners  are seeking public input about the sale before they make a decision.

The first meeting was held Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the county 911 center in Springettsbury Township. Two additional town-hall meetings will be held March 7 and March 27 at Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Road, in Springettsbury Township.  

County spokesman Mark Walters confirmed the change, noting that the meetings will take place in the school's auditorium.
