13-year-old runaway reported in York City

Update: Mairhga Fischer has been reunited with her family, police said Friday, Feb. 9.

Previously reported: 

The York City Police Department received a report of a runaway around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8.

Mairhga Lynn Fischer, 13, did not return home Wednesday, Feb. 7, according to the report.

Her mother, Jessica Durham, of York City, submitted the report.

Durham, 35, stated in the report that Mairhga had run away twice before, and Durham had argued with her daughter recently about some of her daughter's friends.

Mairhga, also of York City, stayed at a girlfriend's home and was last seen at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, according to a news release.

Police say Mairhga did not go to school Thursday morning.

A search of family, friends, parks, social media and other locations commenced immediately, police said, but Mairhga was not found.

Police are asking for public assistance to locate her.


Mairhga is 5-foot-8 and 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, according to the release. It is unknown what clothing she was wearing, police said.
