A York City man has died more than two weeks after a crash, according to officials.

The York County Coroner's Office said in a news release that 70-year-old Charles Hutton, of East King Street, was pronounced dead Sunday, Jan. 28, as the result of a crash Jan. 13.

Hutton hit a parked car in the 300 block of North George Street on Jan. 13, and he was taken to York Hospital's emergency department after he developed a head injury, the coroner's office said.

His condition declined over the next two weeks, and he succumbed to his injuries, the release states. He was pronounced dead at 11 p.m. Sunday.

His death was ruled accidental.

The coroner's office said it is not known if Hutton had medical issues leading up to the crash. Additionally, airbags were deployed during the time of the crash, but it is not known if Hutton was wearing a seat belt at the time. 

York City Police are investigating.
