Snow forecast for Tuesday, Jan. 30, might affect work and school commutes, according to an official from the National Weather Service.

Paul Head, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in State College, said he expects 2 to 3 inches of snow to in York County early Tuesday.

The snow will likely begin before daybreak, he said, and continue through early afternoon.

"It will likely disrupt the morning commute," Head said.

Temperatures will be considerably colder than the relatively mild weather that has stuck around since late last week, he said. Tuesday is expected to have a high of around 32 degrees, according to the weather service.

A hazardous weather outlook by the service says another storm system could bring light to moderate amounts of snow to the region late in the work week, but Head said the result will likely be rain for York County.
